BufferZone Pro

This giveaway is closed.

Today’s featured product:
BufferZone Pro

A little more about them:
BufferZone Pro uses the power of virtualization to “disconnect” your sensitive files from the internet—which means kids can click on any link, download any file, open any attachment they want—and any viruses or threats never touch your important files (and never mess anything up). It’s kind of like training wheels for the web—kids can explore the Internet while staying protected from all the Internet threats out there. And it saves the time, money and hassle of repairing a PC after an attack. Free 30-day trial at http://www.trustware.com.

What they’re giving away:
Two winners will each receive FREE year-long licenses for BufferZone Pro (each license is valued at $39.95).

How you can win:
Just leave me a comment telling me your best story about using the computer with your child. Yep. That’s it. Today’s easy, right?

Please remember:

  1. You can only enter once! I have a great little plug-in that helps me keep track of your IP address. I can see if you have entered more than once. I won’t contact you, but I will automatically label your IP to be marked as spam and deleted.
  2. I do read the comments. The point of having you comment on the product is to help the vendors I showcase. They enjoy reading your comments and ideas. If you leave a generic comment that doesn’t answer the “How you can win” info, you will not win.

Who is eligible:
EVERYONE! You don’t have to be a blogger to win, just supply a valid e-mail address.

When the giveaway ends:
Sunday, March 29. I’ll e-mail the winner(s), and results are always posted here as well. If the winner doesn’t respond within four business days, a new winner will be drawn.

Special offer for Bloggy Giveaways readers:
You can receive 50% off a full-year subscription to BufferZone Pro by using this code BZ005SG. Offer expires April 1, 2009.

Well my story isn’t a happy one. The other day, my daughter must of gone somewhere on it and some horrible virus attacked my computer and it was totally locked down. My dh had to reload everything and I lost 6 months of pictures and 3 years of videos. We need something like this.

Last weekend, my 3 year old daughter sent emails to our friends and family. SHe knows her letters and would say “Mommy, I send grandma o’s” or “I send Jessica A’s” and she would fill up the email with a specific letter. She would get so happy when they emailed us back!

  9. My granddaughter came for a visit and immediately asked if she could play games on my computer. She was just barely 3 so I had to put her up on two phone books so she could see the screen. I put headphones on her so she could hear over the television we were watching, but the headphones of course were too big so we had to rig them to stay on her head. I got her to the Nick Jr. website and she moused her way through enough games to keep her occupied for about two hours. Of course I got pictures! I was stunned aat how well she could use the mouse and keyboard at just 3years old.

Well since my children are now teenagers, its just trying to keep them safe and going through the websites that they want to visit with them and making sure they don’t put to much information. I usually make them use my email address, that way everything goes through me before they see it.

My four year old over heard a conversation between me and my eight year old when he was on my computer trying to get to a cartoon site. I was telling him the address ( which they still dont quite understand the whole http://www.com thing) She has started this thing where no matter what she says it starts with ww wwww( her version of www) and ends with dot com. She tells my son that mommie is always on the wwwwww computer dot com or when she talks to me she will say wwwwww i love you mommie dot com. She always pretends she is on a invisible laptop and is always typing like mommie. When she does it in public ppl think she is crazy, but I always get a kick out of it. i love that she has such a great imagination. But it goes to show, they are always listening and watching.

My 7yo loves to write stories. Her favorite time on the computer is typing a story in word. I help her change the font, size and color to go with her story.

This is a great giveaway. Thanks.

My 8-year-old daughter is pretty handy with a computer. She can navigate just about any page, and sometimes that scares me. I caught her trying to buy something the other day. Good thing we didn’t give her a credit card!
